Transit is In Service
County Express is providing public transportation for essential trips that are allowed under the San Benito County shelter-in-place order: trips to your jobs that are providing essential services, hospitals, health care providers, pharmacies, grocery stores, and other destinations that are necessary during this time of aggressive caution. Most of our service is limited.
When you ride the bus, riders must keep a distance of at least six feet from the driver and other passengers.
Passengers must wear face coverings in public, which includes using public transit—on the bus and waiting at a transit stop.
Limited Service Is Running
The following services are not in service: Fixed Route, Intercounty Gavilan, and Weekend Dial-a-Ride.
Intercounty Caltrain and Greyhound are running. Weekday Dial-a-Ride is available, and we ask that you call a day ahead to schedule a ride.
Buying Tokens and Passes
County Express services are free during the shelter-in-place order. We are not collecting fares.
What Else Can I Expect?
This is a changing situation so we may make more changes to County Express' service. We will update the public by posting on our website and on our Facebook page.
You can call (831) 636-4161 for service questions or schedule a ride for essential travel.
