Hours of Operation
Service is available within Hollister City limits, San Juan Bautista, and as far as Tres Pinos. For a map of the Dial-A-Ride service area, click here.
Weekday rides may be scheduled up to 2 weeks in advance or on the the day of the ride. However, same-day rides are subject to a $1.00 convenience fee. The dispatcher will negotiate a pick-up time and direct you to a pick up location. All rides are subject to availability. Please allow 30 minutes to be picked up and another 30 minutes to reach your destination. Reservations may be made by calling 831.636.4161.
Weekend rides may only be scheduled between Monday at 9:30 a.m. and Friday at 4:00 p.m. the week of. Trips to and from the destination must be booked at the same time. The dispatcher will negotiate a pick-up time and direct you to a pick up location. Cancellations can be made until Friday at 5:00 p.m. Weekend service is subject to availability and ride times may be up to 1 hour. Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled pickup time. County Express vehicles leave 3 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.
Individuals with trips that begin or end beyond 3/4
mile of the Hollister fixed-route bus service area are eligible for Dial-A-Ride
service on weekdays. General public Dial-A-Ride is also available weekdays from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
County Express offers two advanced reservation services to persons whose trips begin or end in the reservation service area.
If you would like to use the reservation service, call 831.636.4161 by 5:00 p.m. the day before. The dispatcher will negotiate a pick-up time and direct you to a pick up location. All rides are subject to availability. We recommend you schedule your return trip at the time you schedule your pick-up. The fare is $1.25 for youth, seniors, and disabled persons, and $2.00 for adults. Tokens are also available. The dotted lines on the route map indicate these service areas.
The Sunnyslope Area Service serves persons traveling along Beverly Drive, Cerra Vista Road, Valley View Drive, Ladd Lane, Maze Middle School, Rancho San Justo, and points in between.
The Southside Area Service serves persons traveling along Southside Road between
Union Road and Southside School and into the City of Hollister.
